Welcome to the International Dance Studio
The IDS is hard at work conducting committee
meetings, conferences, and consultations in order to better serve
our students. We at the IDS know that Dance is constantly
evolving and we are continually striving to meet demands of this
evolution with excellence and refinement.

ADVANCEMENT
In order for the student to advance through the different
levels of dancing, it is mandatory for them to and
participate at least the following per year:
A: 2 Competitions B: 2 Showcases C: 1 Competition and 1
Showcase
During these events it will be determined by their
performance if they justify going to the next level. In
certain cases, determination can be done by a special test
administered by the directors of the International Dance
Studio in which a testing fee will be charged.

ATTENDANCE
The teacher will keep an attendance record for each student. Any
student that will be absent must call to notify the teacher before
the time of his/her class. There are no makeup classes for students
who miss their class. Continued absences will jeopardize the
student’s eligibility to participate in the school's performances
and may be ineligible to continue on to the next level of classes.
DRESS CODE
Boys Dress Code - Black dress or
athletic pants with any color stripe is appropriate. A shirt from
either the World Salsa Federation or the International Dance Studio.
DanceSport dance shoes or dance sneakers in black only.
Girls Dress Code - Black pants
or skirt and a shirt or leotard from either the World Salsa
Federation or the International Dance Studio. DanceSport or
character shoes, any color.
 Violation of dress codes will
result in your child sitting out the class.
SPECIAL REGULATIONS
Students should be picked up no later than 15 minutes after their
class or rehearsal ends. Instructors are busy teaching other classes
and are not responsible for those students who are not in class.
Children should not be left
unsupervised. Once a student enters the school for class, he or she
is not allowed to leave the premises, for any reason, until an
authorized person picks them up. The school will not be responsible
for any student who leaves
the premises without permission. Parents and students are expected
to know and follow the daily schedule of classes and rehearsals.
International Dance Studio has the right to turn away any student
who is more than 15 minutes late. Please advise the teacher in
advance if you know that your child will be arriving late to his/her
class.

** At this time there are no makeup classes, so if you miss a class you lose

1. There is a 5% discount on 2 students enrolling in the same plan from the
same immediate family.
2. There is a 10% discount on 3 or more students enrolling in the same plan
from the same immediate family.
3. The Annual Registration Fee is $40 and expires the 31st of December. This
fee also includes a studio t-shirt or leotard.
4. There will be an automatic late charge of $20 that will be assessed on
tuitions that are not paid by the 5th of the month. NO EXCEPTIONS!
5. Private lessons are $70 per hour (each lesson is 45 minutes long). A
minimum purchase of 5 lessons is required.
Discounts are available for 20 or more hours.
6. There is a $20 re-registration fee for all kids who miss one month or
more of classes. Included will be a studio t-shirt or leotard.
